The Fibres

Our fibres are produced from a wire in a continuous metal-cutting process and in this process the fibres get an irregular and rough surface and a rectangular cross section.

Using special cutting tools, we are able to produce fibre thicknesses in a range from 30 µm up to 120 µm and we distinguish between the grades: coarse, medium, fine and extra-fine.

During the process, we bundle batch fibres into a strand, which is wound up in a reel. From these reels, we are able to manufacture fleece in various levels of thickness and with different weights per squaremetre.

In a further production step, we produce short fibres in lengths from 1 mm up to 6 mm.
